Reviews
Emma Moseley – Royal Agricultural University Shooting Team Marketing Executive
Atlas Sporting put on an outstanding simulated day at the Quarry. With something to suit and challenge all abilities, in a setting unlike anything else I’ve seen before, I’d thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and exciting day’s shooting.

Getting There
Upon booking one of our team will be in touch with directions to the shoot.
Itinerary
We start the day at 9:30am with pastries, tea, coffee and a briefing before shooting 4 – 6 drives, with two guns per peg each taking it in turns to shoot and load. The targets will simulate driven pheasants, partridges and pigeons. For private bookings the targets can easily be tailored to suit your requirements, taking into account the experience of the team of guns.
If your team are up for a challenge you will also have the option to stand at the foot of the tallest wall of our quarry and take on some of the highest driven clays in the Southeast.
After 2 drives we will pause for a delicious elevenses with prosecco and beer. At the end of the day, we will have an alfresco or pub lunch depending on the weather.
Kit List
Footwear
The quarry contains a lot of chalk and can get quite dusty in the dry and very sticky in the wet. We advise you to wear comfortable shoes that you don’t mind getting chalk on.
PPE
As you can imagine, simulated game shooting involves a lot of looking up. Therefore, on sunny days we recommend sunglasses or at least a cap to shield your eyes from the sun. We also strongly recommend you bring hearing protection.
Clothing
Please wear smart-casual shoot day attire.
Cartridges
You should bring at least 500 cartridges. If you are shooting a 12 bore we recommend 21 to 28 gram 7s or a 21 to 24 gram 7s for a 20 bore.
Firearms
An over and under or side by side shotgun.
