Shootdays start at 08:30 with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. At 09:30 we will load into 4x4s and head to the lodge where you will be introduced to your loaders, meet the team and have a coffee.

Typically we shoot 4 or 5 drives with a break after the 2ndd for a traditional elevenses and a selection of local side dishes. The shooting is challenging, we make full use of mountain valleys and paths the partridge will either be flying fast downhill or towering off of the hill sides.

There are 22 separate drives on the estate so if you wish to shoot back-to-back days, you won’t shoot the same drives twice.

At the end of the day we head back to the hotel, usually around 16:00. You will have time to get changed, relax and use the hotel’s spa, pool, or other facilities before we meet for drinks, watch the sunset over the Douro Valley or visit one of the many local port cellars.
